Fixxit and his band of marauders have taken refuge for the coming winter in a fortified farmstead. A two story farmhouse, machine shop, barn, grain silo, corall, and chicken coop are all enclosed behind a thick earthen wall. The previous owners were afraid that, without the right protection, they would get overrun by bandits or theives. Little did they realize, the look of safety from the place prompted Fixxit to "liberate" it from them.
There is a 5 foot tall, stone and earth wall surrounding the entire farm. The farmer had taken time to make sure that it was nice and sturdy, capable of withstanding quite a lot of punishment. Since his "departure" the marauders have bolstered the defenses here by making sandbag "pillboxes" on the corners of the wall. Total, there are four, each with a PK machinegun and two men. The only easy way in or out of the area is by the driveway, which enters near the farmhouse and has a manned guard platform right at the entrance. The platform itself is only about 3 meters high, and has sandbags piled up on it to provide cover for the one man that is always on duty there.
Fixxit has also realized, besides the inclusion of the machinegun nests, that added protection for the wall is needed. He has had men with tar and broken glass, prepping the top of the wall, in case someone tries to climb over. In addition, he wants to smear the glass with cow dung from the barn.
In all, there are 20 men located in this area. The two story farmhouse has been converted into a barracks, and hunting parties are sent out daily to stock up on food for the winter. Typically, the hunting parties are about 3-4 men and are only armed with rifles and pistols, nothing automatic. The marauders also have three vehicles. Two are only visible. Both are Humvees. Each Humvee has an M-60 mounted on top, and each have about 2 belts of ammunition left.
Parked inside the barn, off to one side so that the horses can still be boarded in there, is a BRDM with a KPV machinegun. This is the marauders "heavy weapon". They keep it hidden so that it can be used as a surprise. Fixxit is very proud of it, and when they are on the move, he is located in it.
If the other party of marauders make it to the camp before the PCs can ambush them, the satellite piece will be held in the toolshed adjacent to the barn. It is locked tight, and the only person with the key is Fixxit. Fixxit has also not placed anyone on guard duty next to the shed, as he figures this would give away the secret. He, however, has picked a room in the farmhouse with a window facing towards the shed. Other men suspect he sits up at night, watching the shed behind the blackened window, waiting to blow away anyone who tries to get the piece. This, however, is not the case. Fixxit is confident his reputation will keep the men away.
The meeting to transfer the goods is scheduled for 1 full day after the party returns with the item. Fixxit and his men, all but a mere 6, will go to the town and deal with Stehnkov. The payment is 300 kg in gold, and legal possession of half the town.
Stehnkov only plans on humoring the marauders for the time. After his plans are complete, he plans to use his men to wipe out the marauders. Fixxit will be careful to keep the BRDM hidden from Stehnkov, in case anything happens. He wants to have an "ace in the hole". Any attempt to take the item during the trade will result in disaster, as both Stehnkov and Fixxit expect the other to try something, so both are heavy on the manpower.
